Accepted Offer: Now What?
As mentioned, your offer will have certain conditions and subjects such as "subject to a home inspection" and "subject to financing". Typically you will have 5-7 days to get a home inspection, obtain financing, etc. If at the end of this time you are satisfied to remove subjects, then they are removed and the sale becomes final. Congratulations!
After acceptance of the offer the services of a lawyer or notary should be obtained. Your realtor will be able to provide you with a list of names if required. They handle the paperwork and transfer of title to your name.
Your realtor will then help to make the move easier by providing you with a moving checklist. Communication with your realtor will not be as frequent as earlier but he or she will still be available to answer any questions you might have and make sure the process is a smooth and enjoyable one.
